Calling All Hookers!

Dear Friends,

I'll keep this brief. This morning while procrastinating for my walk (I got to bed late last night and am super tired) I came across this website: Crocheting for Children with Cancer.

Basic premise: You crochet a granny square (or two... or three... or however many you want) and send it (them) to the woman who posted this. She and her friends will attach all the squares and donate them to a kids' cancer camp in Fort Worth, TX.

This is a wonderful idea, and for those of you who crochet it's an easy way to serve others.

I'm going to stop procrastinating and walk now.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

- Danielle

P.S. - If anyone is interested in teaching me a granny stitch; I need to learn that one anyways so please let me know. :)

I had a granny-square learning disability for a long time, and then I found a superbly-written pattern. I will get it for you when I don't have to lean out the bedroom window to steal someone else's wireless internet, as I am now...

Really good idea.

Just a quick reminder, though, to use especially soft yarn - because radiation and chemo can make the skin excessively sensitive.
