"Monday Monday, don't trust that day..."

Weekend first, then I'll vent:

Friday Night: Our friends Kelly and Jared came over and we had some din din and played ImaginIFF, which was a really fun game. It was cool to hang out with them because we don't get to see them much outside of church/small group, so that was really fun. They're moving to Methuen soon, so hopefully we'll see more of them.

Saturday: Went to Burlington to have lunch with my MoH, Kiki. We met up at Fresh City and had some stir fry bowls which were soooo good. Chatted about the wedding and did some general catching up with life because we haven't seen each other in a while. Then we went to Coldstone Creamery which was also very very tasty. After that a quick jaunt through Omaha Steaks where I got Steve some lobster bisque and I got myself some corn chowder. After that I went home, started some laundry, did some food shopping, and was about to start dinner when we got a call from Dan (one of our friends from church) asking us if we wanted to go to Grand Buffet in Nashua for dinner. So off we went, and got lost because I decided to try "new" directions taking us down 111 (I promise I'll learn the backroads of NH someday). But once we got there we had a blast - it was Dan, Kimberly, Nathan and Priscila that went. The food was actually pretty good and it was only like, $16/persom after tip which wasn't bad at all. Then we went home and I hit the books for 2 hours before we went to bed.

Sunday: Got up, had some Main Street Bagel and went to church. After church Steve had to go to work for a minute to do something on one of the servers and then we went home. Steve stayed home and played Zelda all afternoon while I went over to Barnes and Noble to study. Did that for 3 hours, went to the pharmacy and the grocery store, then went home. Cooked up dinner (mmmm... Terra Cotta raviolis) and then it was Sunday night TV. We modified it a bit this week though - there was a 2-hour "Mythbusters" that examined "movie myths" so we watched that instead of "The Simpsons". Of course, we did watch "Family Guy" and "American Dad". Ah, Fox Sundays.

Now on to this morning...

I took my car in to get inspected, ended up having to put an extra $40 into the thing because my parking brake needed to be serviced (though, I will say I bearly have to pull it now). Scheduled my 45K service and found out that 2 of my tires need to be replaced as well (treads are getting low, so it's about that time). Oh, and there's a pretty pair of scratches on my rear passenger's side door that are going to cost $504.73 to get fixed. The fixing of the parking brake put me at work at 9:20 instead of 8:30 which is when I originally thought I'd be here. But my car has a sticker, and it runs well, so I guess I shouldn't complain. I just hate seeing that much money going out the door when we have a wedding to take care of...

Here's hoping the rest of the day gets better...

We have some auto savvy people in our circle that might be able to help you fix your scratches for much cheaper.

Family Guy was pretty funny, but they don't make them like they used to...

Hmm. I think I'd rather have the scratches than not have the $504.73.

Get some similarly-colored nailpolish and DIY.
