It's Good To Be...

It's good to be...

...able to do something handy and crafty. I'm powering through the Christmas gifts I'm making so far and I really hope that people like them. It's also good because it's going to end up saving us money, which this year where we're looking at possibly getting a house is a good thing.

...smart enough to prep a lasagne the night before so all you have to do is put it in the oven for dinner. Plus - the leftovers make great lunches!

...an American. I mean, think about it. I know sometimes times get tough in our own little worlds and bubbles, but just by being a middle-class American I fall into the top 2% of wealth in the world. That's a blessing.

...getting closer to the holiday season. People are going to start getting cheerful and families are going to start getting together more often. From Nov. 1 until Jan. 1 are some of my favorite times of the year. Well, except for snow.

...free of a car payment and able to sock it into savings.

...prepared enough to keep a teacup and a whole bunch of tea in my drawers at work, because it's cold in here today.

...a sports fan in Boston right now. Sox won the World Series, the Pats are DOMINATING the NFL like it's no one's business (next week's game against the Colts should be interesting), the Bruins have a winning record (6-4, I don't follow hockey too closely so I had to look), and from what I hear the Celtics are gearing up to have a decent season.

...me.

I love your post. All your reasons appeal to me. Only reason three doesn't quite fit but if you exchange American with German it is still valid for me. So I support everything you said.

It is good to be everything you mentioned, though I don't know about the car payment thing myself-but I imagine it is a wonderful feeling!

I agree with the last one. :)
