Brain Scattered Friday Thoughts

- On my way to work this morning on 93 there was an icky accident right between the 213 and 110 exits. A Honda Civic and an Acura. From what I could tell, it looked like the Acura rear-ended the Honda and sent it off doing a 180 into a jersey barrier. The whole front-end of the Honday was destroyed and the airbag went off, the Acura just had some damage to the front passenger's corner. It looked like the 2 drivers (no passengers) were OK, thank goodness.

- I want a new winter jacket. Not a peacoat or a long trenchcoat or anything, but a mid-weight ski-type jacket. Nothing too bulky either. I hate bulky.

- Life is weird. That's all I really have on that, and no real elaboration or cause for the statement. More of an observation.

- I'm totally not ready for snow yet. I'm still in denial about needing to wear real shoes with maybe even socks and the very real possibility that I might need to buy some boots. I was confused when my hands were cold when I got out of the car this morning and went into denial that maybe I should get the gloves out. It's like it's not really November.

- That all said, Thanksgiving is in a little over a week and a half and that means we're going into my favorite time of year - CHRISTMAS TIME!

- I'd like it more if there weren't any snow.

- In the last month between vacation time, sick time, and death-in-family time I've only worked 1 full week. That's messed up.

- I think one of the best parts about being married is waking up in the morning and having your husband there to snuggle with for a few minutes while you wait for the snooze to go off. It's one of the simple pleasures of marriage.

- I might go to Mann Orchards tomorrow. I haven't seen the new building yet. Depends on how much time I have in the day.

- I forgot my work tea mug at home and this really bothers me even though I have some paper hot-cold cups in my desk drawer.

- I'm excited for Christmas parties. That's one of my favorite things about the Christmas season.

- "Right now we must be going." (I'll be surprised if anyone gets this reference without too much thought.)

I got my scarf and gloves out weeks ago! Fear not the gloves; they in no way imply that you want also to wear boots!

I am LOVING this weather. I think I wouldn't mind living in perpetual-autumn. Does such a place exist?

Let's have a Christmas party RIGHT NOW!

I'm actually kind of excited for snow this year for some reason. You totally bummed me out last night when you said we weren't getting any, and the NPR guy rubbed it in a little more this morning. :( But it will come eventually! (And I'm still doing the Inside Out Pajamas Snow Day Dance tonight!)

Perpetual Autumn would rock. I love the spring and the fall. I would love if we could just skip winter and have an abbreviated summer. :) If such a place exists, we should move there and start a town.

And - I'm sorry I bummed you out. I wouldn't mind snow if we just got like, 1-3 inches or something. And it was fluffy. But I hate the wet crap. And I hate a lot of it. :P

Well, at least you didn't bum me out maliciously; you were just telling the truth.

But I think we'll just have to agree to disagree, cuz I kinda hope we get completely dumped on and we can't leave our homes for days and days! :-)

I too, love snow, and I have a feeling my love of snow will be rekindled this year because I won't have to shovel a long ass driveway! (Last year I found myself getting a bit disgruntled and I hated that)

I'm excited to know that I'll be working somewhere that has fun-Secret Santa...Pot Luck. This is going to be great. :)

I think that another simple pleasure of marraige would be having someone to talk to. It's pretty quiet otherwise.

I think you should get a new winter coat. I hear that people who do that are cool. :)

This was not in the same order as yours. It bothers me a little bit. But not enough to change it. ;)
